How many monthly payments are there in the CaratLane PoP! plan?

The PoP! Plan includes 9 + 1 monthly payments , offering customers a convenient and structured way to save for their jewelry purchase. The Plan works in the below mentioned way-

  • The customer pays a fixed amount every month for 9 months.
  • After 9 months, the Company contributes a benefit equivalent to one monthly payment.
  • After 9 months, you can redeem the full accumulated amount (including the benefit) to purchase jewelry.

What is the minimum amount that I need to set aside every month?

The customer can participate in the Plan with a minimum monthly payment of $50 (Dollar Fifty only) or above, i.e., in multiples of $25 (Dollar Twenty-Five only). The maximum limit is $500 ( Dollar Five Hundred only). It is made clear that no fractional amounts can be paid by a customer under this Plan.

What is the maximum amount limit of PoP?

The maximum limit is $500 ( Dollar Five Hundred only).It is made clear that no fractional amounts can be paid by a customer under this Plan.

Can I club two or more PoP! accounts with my PoP! Account?

Yes you can club your two or more PoP! Accounts. A maximum of 20 active PoP! accounts are allowed per customer at any given time.

Can I pay in cash every month?

Plan Payments must be made by the Customer only through an enabled credit card auto-debit facility or through Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. The Company does not accept payments made by cash, check, or any other form of payment.

Can I use my PoP! Plan enrolled in the USA in India, or my Treasure Chest scheme enrolled in India in the USA?

No, both PoP! and Treasure Chest plans are valid only in the country where they were enrolled and cannot be used internationally.

What is the enrollment criteria & benefit of the PoP! Plan?

This Plan is offered under the following terms and conditions:

  1. To be eligible for the Promotional Discount, the Customer must make nine (9) fixed monthly payments in amounts ranging from a minimum of fifty U.S. dollars (USD $50) to a maximum of one hundred twenty five U.S. dollars (USD $125), in increments of twenty-five U.S. dollars (USD $25).
  2. During the 9 (nine) months, the Customer must make one Plan Payment every month following the Enrollment Date. For the purpose of this Plan, the date of the first Plan Payment shall be deemed as the Enrollment Date. More than one Plan Payment in a single month will also be accepted.
  3. The amount of Plan Payment made during the first month shall be considered as the monthly fixed amount and the Customer must make the payment of the same amount every month for the subsequent months.
  4. After the payment of the ninth monthly amount, the Company will offer a discount/ benefit as mentioned below: In case of purchase of any Diamond/Gemstone/Platinum/ Silver/Preset Solitaires, Company will offer a discount equal to the amount of one month plan payment .In case of purchase of Plain gold jewelry (unstudded), the Company will offer a discount equal to 50% of the amount of one month Plan Payment.

What is the enrollment process?

Enrollment may either be through offline mode, i.e., at the CaratLane stores in the U.S.A, or through online mode by registering on the website www.caratlane.us. Only Individuals above the age of 18 are permitted to enrol into the Plan. The Customer is required to provide a copy of his/her photo identification and address proof. Acceptable documents include a driver’s license or passport or similar government-issued identification.

In case of any change in contact or address details or any other details that the Customer may have furnished, the Customer must contact customer care at +1 844 922 2728 or visit the website www.caratlane.us to update their information. Any such modification made shall be subject to verification of information by the Company. The Customer shall be solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.

Is it possible to to change the monthly amount in between the plan?

Once the first month payment is made , the monthly Plan Payment amount cannot be altered.

Where can I check my active PoP! Plan?

You will receive an email confirmation about your PoP plan or inquire about it in person at any of our retail stores in the USA or with our support team online at contactus@caratlane.us.

Can I open PoP! Account for my minor daughter or son?

Only individuals above the age of 18 can enroll in the CaratLane PoP! Plan. The Company has the right to obtain proof for the same from the customer. Acceptable documents include a driver’s license or passport or similar government-issued identification.

Can I convert my profile balance to a PoP! Plan?

No, that is not possible. You cannot convert your profile balance to a PoP! Plan.

Can I enrol for PoP! without a bank account or card details?

Plan Payments must be made solely by the Customer through an enabled credit card auto-debit facility or through Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. The Company does not accept payments made by cash, check, or any other form of payment. In case of credit card auto-debit or ACH enabled accounts, the Customer must notify the Company of any changes to account information by submitting the required forms to the Company.

What is the grace period allowed in case of an auto-debit or any monthly payment failure?

A grace period of ten (10) days will be provided after the Due Date to make a Plan Payment. In case there is a delay beyond the said grace period, the Promotional Discount to be provided by the Company shall be reduced proportionally to the number of days by which the payment was delayed.

How many Plan Payments are allowed in one month?

Only one Plan Payment is allowed in one month. Advance payment for the future payments are not allowed.

What is the process for nominee application?

The Customer may appoint a nominee (hereinafter the “Nominee”) at the time of Enrollment upon submission of relevant documentation to enable the nominee to receive benefit, if any, under this Plan in the event of death of the Customer. In the absence of a nomination, the Company may extend the benefits of the Plan only to the legal heirs of the deceased Customer, subject to such legal heirs submitting the required documentation and satisfying the Company of their legal heirship. The decision of the Company shall be final on the sufficiency of any document in all such cases and the same shall be binding upon the claimants.

Redemption

What is the redemption window for my PoP! Balance?

The Company provides customers with a redemption window of 450 days from the Maturity Date i.e., till the 720th day from the Enrollment Date (“Redemption Period”) to redeem the Plan by purchasing jewelry. If customers do not purchase CaratLane jewelry within the Redemption Period, the Plan Payments received from the customer will be refunded to the customer's source account or such other account as confirmed by the customer , subject to verification by TCL NA. However, in this event, customers will not be eligible for any benefit, monetary or otherwise.

Can I withdraw my paid monthly amount after 2 months?

Customers can redeem the monthly amount paid against the purchase of jewelry of a value equal to or more than the Plan Payments made. In the event of partial completion of the plan, no benefit/discount will be provided by the Company . Any unused Plan funds will be refunded only after 720 days from the date of enrollment as per the Terms and Conditions.

Can I redeem the amount before 9 months?

If a customer elects to terminate the Plan prior to completing all nine (9) Plan Payments, the customer may redeem the Plan by making a jewelry purchase. However, such redemption shall be deemed a partial redemption, and customers shall not be entitled to any benefit . Any unused Plan funds will be refunded only after 720 days from the date of enrollment as per the Terms and Conditions.

When will I become eligible for the discount/ benefit from CaratLane?

Subject to the receipt of all nine Plan Payments by the Company, customer will, upon completion of 270 days from the Enrollment Date (“Maturity Date”), be eligible to redeem the Plan and receive the benefit by making a purchase equal to the aggregate amount of all Plan Payments made, plus the applicable discount value.

Can I combine loyalty/reward points or coupon codes while redeeming my CaratLane PoP! account balance?

Customers are permitted to combine the benefits of gift coupons, birthday and anniversary discounts, and loyalty points earned from the previous purchases along with the applicable Plan benefit at the time of redemption. However, free loyalty points earned, e.g. points earned via referrals, profile completion, website reviews, promotional points etc., and other store-running discounts or offers cannot be combined with the Plan benefit.

Healthcare, Armed Forces, and TATA EMPLOYEE Discounts cannot be utilised along with the PoP! redemption plan.

Can I combine India loyalty/reward/xCLusive points while redeeming my CaratLane PoP! account balance in the USA?

No, customers cannot combine their India loyalty/reward/xCLusive points while redeeming their CaratLane PoP! account balance in the USA.

Can I use CaratLane PoP! account balance amount on engraving or any made to order jewelry?

CaratLane PoP! plan can be used on engraving or any made to order jewelry at store or online.

Will late payment affect my CaratLane PoP! account balance?

A grace period of ten (10) days will be provided after the due date to make a Plan Payment. In case there is a delay beyond the said grace period, the promotional discount to be provided by the Company shall be reduced proportionally to the number of days by which the payment was delayed. Please refer to the illustration provided in the terms and conditions.

Can I redeem only part of the PoP! amount?

No, partial redemption is not permitted.

Can a nominee be eligible to redeem on my behalf?

Only in the event of the death of the enrolling individual, the nominee can redeem as per the terms and conditions of the Plan . The nominee has to submit the required documents to transfer the PoP! balance to the nominee.

Can any other person be eligible to redeem on behalf of the enrollment person?

The benefits of the Plan are non-transferable and may not be extended or substituted for any individual other than the Customer or its Nominee, solely subject to required documentation and verification by the Company.

Do I have to come to a store to redeem the PoP! Value?

You customers can redeem the PoP! value at any CaratLane store across the US or online purchases from www.caratlane.us or by placing any customized or personalized jewelry order at the CaratLane store in the US. However, the Plan cannot be redeemed against purchase of 22KT Gold jewelry, gold coins, gold bars, gift cards or for availing any jewelry care or repair services or ear-piercings or any other services offered at the stores.

How can I pay my balance amount if I purchase more than my PoP! account balance?

You can use any online payment mode(Debitcard/CreditCard/Netbanking/PayPal/Any other applicable) to pay the balance while redeeming online or at the store.

How are ACH transactions managed for enrolling in the plan and redeeming PoP! balance?

Receipts for payment made by Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) transactions will be made only after settlement of the payment. In case of ACH enabled accounts, the Plan cannot be closed prior to maturity date unless the account holder has cancelled the ACH by submitting the required forms to TCL NA. The Customer may ask for a computerized receipt, from any CaratLane Store.

Cancellation and Refunds

Can I cancel my PoP! plan at any time?

If the customer elects to terminate the Plan prior to completing all nine (9) Plan Payments, they may redeem the Plan by making a jewelry purchase. However, such redemption shall be deemed a partial redemption, and the customer shall not be entitled to any promotional discounts or any other benefits. Any unused Plan funds will be refunded only after 720 days from the Enrollment Date in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Plan.

Terms and Conditions for CaratLane PoP

“CaratLane PoP” (hereinafter the “Plan”) is offered by TCL North America Inc. (the “Company”). Subject to the terms and conditions, the Plan rewards customers for their loyalty where, adding a fixed value every month (“Plan Payments”) for nine (9) consecutive months enables customers to receive a benefit in the form of a special discount at the end of 270 days as specified hereinafter.

This Plan is offered under the following terms and conditions:

  1. The Company offers this Plan only for loyalty and/or promotional purposes. The Company will not charge any dormancy fee, service fee or inactivity fee associated with the Plan. Unused Plan funds will be refunded to the Customer after 720 days through the method of payment the Customer used to make Plan Payments or through an alternative method confirmed by the Customer, subject to verification by TCL NA.
  2. To be eligible for the benefit, the Customer must make nine (9) fixed monthly payments in amounts ranging from a minimum of fifty U.S. dollars (USD $50) to a maximum of one hundred twenty five U.S. dollars (USD $125), in increments of twenty-five U.S. dollars (USD $25).
  3. During the nine (9) months, the Customer must make one Plan Payment every month following the Enrollment Date. For the purpose of this Plan, the date of the first Plan Payment shall be deemed as the Enrollment Date. More than one Plan Payment in a single month will not be accepted.
  4. The amount of Plan Payment made during the first month shall be considered as the monthly fixed amount and the Customer must make the payment of the same amount every month for the subsequent months.
  5. Each Plan Payment must be received by the Due Date every month (“Due Date”). For the purpose of this Plan, the Due Date shall be the same date as the Enrollment Date for the subsequent months.
  6. A grace period of ten (10) days will be provided after the Due Date to make a Plan Payment. In case there is a delay beyond the said grace period, the Promotional Discount to be provided by the Company shall be reduced proportionally to the number of days by which the payment was delayed.
  7. Subject to the receipt of all nine Plan Payments by the Company, the Customer will, upon completion of 270 days from the Enrollment Date (“Maturity Date”), be eligible to redeem the Plan and receive the benefit by making a purchase equal to the aggregate amount of all Plan Payments made, plus the applicable discount value.
  8. The benefit under this Plan is as follows:
    1. Customers may be eligible to receive a discount equivalent to their one-month Plan Payment on purchase of CaratLane studded jewelry or silver jewelry; or
    2. Customers may be eligible to receive a discount of 50% of their one-month Plan Payment on purchase of CaratLane 14 Karat or 18 Karat plain gold jewelry.

  9. The Company provides Customers with a redemption window of 450 days from the Maturity Date i.e., till the 720th day from the Enrollment Date (“Redemption Period”) to redeem the Plan by purchasing jewelry. If the customer does not purchase CaratLane jewelry within the Redemption Period, the Plan Payments received from the Customer will be refunded to the Customer’s source account or such other account as confirmed by the Customer, subject to verification by TCL NA. However, in this event, the Customer will not be eligible for any benefit, monetary or otherwise.
  10. If the Customer elects to terminate the Plan prior to completing all nine (9) Plan Payments, they may redeem the Plan by making a jewelry purchase of a value equal to or more than the Plan Payments made. However, the Customer shall not be entitled to any benefits under the Plan. Any unused Plan funds will be refunded under the terms in paragraph 1 above.
  11. The Customers can redeem the Plan by purchase of CaratLane jewelry including silver jewelry from the Company at any CaratLane store across the U.S or online purchases from www.caratlane.us or by placing any customized or personalized jewelry order at the CaratLane stores. However, the Plan cannot be redeemed against purchase of 22 karat gold jewelry, gold coins, gold bars, gift cards or for any jewelry care or other services offered at the stores.
  12. Customers may enroll into one or more Plans at the same time, and they are also permitted to combine the benefits eligible under the respective Plans at the time of redemption.
  13. Customers are permitted to combine the benefits of gift coupons, birthday and anniversary discounts, and “Reward” loyalty points earned from the previous purchases along with the applicable Plan benefit at the time of redemption. However, free Reward points earned, e.g. points earned via referrals, profile completion, website reviews, promotional points etc., and other store-running discounts or offers cannot be combined with the Plan benefit.
  14. Only individuals eighteen (18) years or older can enroll into the Plan. Enrollment is only for individuals and is not permitted for entities like corporations, companies, LLPs, partnerships or trusts.
  15. Enrollment may either be through offline mode, i.e., at the CaratLane stores, or through online mode by registering at www.caratlane.us
  16. The Customer is required to provide a copy of his/her photo identification and proof of address. Acceptable documents include a driver’s license or passport or similar government-issued identification.
  17. The Customer is required to register at www.caratlane.us to manage their Plan. In case of any change in contact or address details or any other details that the Customer may have furnished, the Customer must contact customer care at +1 844 922 2728 or visit the website www.caratlane.us to update their information. Any such modification made shall be subject to verification of information by the Company. The Customer shall be solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
  18. The Company reserves the right to verify the identity of the Customer by means of SMS and/or OTP verification or by any other means at any time including at the time of Plan Enrollment and at the time of concluding the purchases to be made under the Plan and taking the delivery of the jewelry. The Customer is responsible for all data or technology charges that may apply to SMS and/or OTP verification. The Company also reserves the right to verify the authenticity of the documents provided by the Customer.
  19. At the time of Enrollment, the Customer must accept the terms and conditions. Notwithstanding the foregoing, by enrolling into this Plan, it will be deemed that the Customer has consented to these terms and conditions.
  20. Plan Payments must be made solely by the Customer through an enabled credit card auto-debit facility or through Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. The Company does not accept payments made by cash, check, or any other form of payment. In case of credit card auto-debit or ACH enabled accounts, the Customer must notify the Company of any changes to account information by submitting the required forms to the Company.
  21. The Company or the CaratLane stores reserve the right but not the obligation to send reminders for payments. Any notice for recurring payments will be provided to the contact information provided at least 10 days before the scheduled date of transfer. It is the customer's responsibility to keep his/her contact information updated.
  22. The Company is the operator of this Plan and reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Plan at any time. In such an event, the Customer may purchase any jewelry at the CaratLane store or online from www.caratlane.us equal to the value of the Plan Payments made, plus the Plan benefit, if applicable.
  23. The liability of the Company or its franchisee(s) or Operators under this Plan is limited to the amount of the Plan Payments paid by the Customer.
  24. The Customer may appoint a nominee (hereinafter the “Nominee”) at the time of Enrollment upon submission of relevant documentation to enable the nominee to receive benefit, if any, under this Plan in the event of death of the Customer. In the absence of a nomination, the Company may extend the benefits of the Plan only to the legal heirs of the deceased Customer, subject to such legal heirs submitting the required documentation and satisfying the Company of their legal heirship. The decision of the Company shall be final on the sufficiency of any document in all such cases and the same shall be binding upon the claimants.
  25. The benefits of the Plan are non-transferable and may not be extended or substituted for any individual other than the Customer or its Nominee, solely subject to required documentation and verification by the Company.
  26. Any conditions that are not explicitly covered above would be the discretion of the Company at the time of transaction/redemption. The decision of the Company in this regard would be deemed as irrevocable and final.
  27. The Company reserves the right to alter, amend, add or delete part or whole of the privileges of the Plan without prior notice to the account holder, as long as the same is not detrimental to the interests of the account holder.

THE PLAN AND THE RIGHTS OF THE PARTIES HEREUNDER SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK INCLUDING ALL MATTERS OF CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, PERFORMANCE, AND ENFORCEMENT AND WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO THE PRINCIPLES OF CONFLICT OF LAWS. THE PARTIES FURTHER AGREE THAT THE EXCLUSIVE VENUE FOR THE RESOLUTION OF ANY DISPUTE RELATING TO THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THE PLAN SHALL BE IN THE STATE AND FEDERAL COURTS LOCATED IN NEW YORK.
